Hubble, 69, of Saranac, died after a lengthy illness Wednesday, Nov. 23, 1994, at his residence. He was born Aug. 9, 1925, the son of Roy Lee and Carrie (Tribble) Hubble. He married Opal Brown on October 9, 1948 in Indianapolis, Ind. Mr. Hubble was a member of the Saranac Community Church, the Masonic Lodge, in Lowell, and the American Legion, in Saranac. He retired in 1987 from Gen-Corp after 32 years of service. He also owned and operated the Hubble Body Shop in Saranac since 1974. He is survived by his wife Opal, of Saranac; three sons, James Day, of Washington, Scott (Marsha) Hubble, of Ionia, Bruce (Valarie) Hubble, of Saranac; one daughter, Nancy (Keith) Houston, of Saranac; one brother, Donald Lee Hubble, of Indiana; one sister, Fern Barkley, of Florida; and 7 grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home, Saranac. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Saranac Community Church. The Rev. Stanley Hagemeyer and the Rev. James Frank will be officiants. Burial will take place in the Saranac Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Saranac Community Church or the American Lung Association.
