The Portland Review & Observer, Thursday, January 1, 1957

John L. Hudson, 84, of Portland, passed away Monday morning at a Lakeview 
hospital.  He had been at Lakeview several months.

Funeral services are being held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Neller Funeral Home, 
and burial will be in Danby cemetery. 

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Muriel Smith of Portland and a son, George 
Hudson of Portland; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  The 
deceased was a life member of Portland F.&A.M. No. 31.  

Bearers are Dan Watson, Allen Hughes, C. J. Hill, Hugh Peake, Howard Wilcox 
and Sam Burman.
