The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, May 14, 1928
Burial services for W. L. Hudson, Buffalo, N.Y., merchant, were held in 
Detroit following his death while in Buffalo April 26 after an illness of 
several weeks with pneumonia.  William L. Hudson was president of the J.L. 
Hudson company and since 1896 had been associated with the Hudson stores as 
manager of the Buffalo branch.  He came to Ionia with his parents, Mr. and 
Mrs. Richard Hudson when very young and lived here for a number of years 
attending the Ionia school and being associated here with his father in the 
firm of R. Hudson and Sons.  He leaves his widow and two children, Mrs. C. M. 
Holland, of New York, and Joseph L. Hudson, of Buffalo.  He was 74 years of 
age.
