Ionia Sentinel Standard, 21 Dec 1964

Emerson Huested, 84, patient at a Muir Convalescent home the past six months, 
died Saturday evening at the home.  He was born March 21, 1880, in New Haven 
Center, the son of Levi and Mary Huested and was married December 17, 1920 to 
Hattie Schafer.  They made their home between Muir and New Haven Center area 
all their lives.  Mrs. Huested is a patient at the convalescent home.

Surviving besides his wife, Myrtle, are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Brown of Ionia 
and Mrs. Rosella Woodland of Traverse City; one son, Vern Huested of Ionia.

The body is at Shaw-Rivett funeral home in Muir and Rev. Keith Binkley of Lyons 
will conduct graveside services Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock at New Haven 
cemetery.
