Sentinel-Standard - Saturday, June 27, 1981

MUIR- Leon S. Huested, 77, of 228 Railroad St., Muir, died Thursday in Kent 
Community Hospital after a short illness.

He was born March 5, 1904, in Muir, the son of Silas and Pearl Huested, and was 
a lifelong resident of the village.

He married Neva Priest in December 1927. She died in September 1977.

He was a former maintenance employee of Oldsmobile in Lansing, having retired 
in 1972.

He is survived by son, Bert, of Grand Rapids, and a daughter, Mrs. Janice 
Keefer of Lyons, one brother, R.C. Huested, of Lansing, and four grandchildren 
also survive.

Funeral services will be Sunday from Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir, with the Rev. 
Terry Keefer of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Colon officiating.

Burial will be in Muir Cemetery.
