The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Friday, February 16, 1962
Walter Edward Huested, 75, of Muir died at 4 a.m. Thursday at Butterworth 
hospital, Grand Rapids where he was a patient one week.  Born in Lyons 
township March 2, 1886, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Huested and had 
lived in the Muir vicinity all his life.  He was a member of the United States 
standing Army in the Philippines and worked several years for Muir Lumber 
company.  Survivors include two sisters, Jennie Huested of Sheridan and Mrs. 
George Bower of Grand Rapids.

Funeral service will be at Shaw-Rivett funeral home Sunday at 3 p.m. with the 
Rev. Roger Wright of First Christian church officiating.  Burial will be at 
Oakwood cemetery at Muir.
