The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, September 8, 1977
Neva L. Huested, 70, of 228 Railroad street, died of a heart attack at her 
home Tuesday evening.  She was born February 1, 1907 in Ionia township, the 
daughter of Walter and Louise Priest.  Mrs. Huested attended Quarry school.  
She married Leon Huested December 3, 1927 in Ionia.  They moved to Muir in 
1928.  Mrs. Huested retired from Ypsilanti-Reed of Ionia and Lyons in 1944 and 
was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the senior citizen of the 
church and the Rosary society.

Survivors include her husband, one son, Burt of Grand Rapids; one daughter, 
Mrs. Janice Keefer of Lyons; one brother, Fred Priest of Ionia and four 
grandchildren.

Services are Friday at 11 a.m. form SS Peter and Paul church with Rev. Father 
Henry J. Dondzilla officiating.  Burial is in Muir cemetery.  A Bible vigil 
prayer service will be Thursday at 8 p.m. in the Hull Memorial chapel.

Funeral services for Neva L. Huested, 70, who died Tuesday evening were Friday 
morning at SS Peter and Paul Catholic church in Ionia with Rev. Father Henry 
Dondzilla officiating.  Graveside services in Muir cemetery were conducted by 
Rev. Terry Keefer.  Bearers were Victor Keefer, Roy Patrick Elwood Stoudt, Don 
Burger, Melvin Priest and John Leihter.  A meal was served at the family 
residence following services by neighborhood women.  A prayer service was held 
at the Hull memorial chapel before funeral services.
