Funeral services were held from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran church at 2:30 
pm Monday following prayer services from Boynton’s at 2 pm for Mrs. Mable 
Huff, 58, of Cyrus Street, who died at St. Mary’s Hospital at 4:25 am 
Saturday.  She had been ill for some time.  The Rev. R. A. Rook conducted the 
services with interment in Byron Center.

Her bearers were Roger Robinson, George Robinson, Eugene Henry, Darwin 
VanHouten, Garth Houghton and Lorraine Houghton.

Attending her services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Brown and son, 
Ralph, Mr. and Mrs. John McMurtry, Miss Virgilene VanHouten, Mr. and Mrs. Mike 
Snyder, Mrs. Lela Huff and Roger Robinson, all of Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. 
Orlo Houghton, Mr. and Mrs. Garth Houghton, Mr. and Mrs. Darwin VanHouten and 
Mrs. Lettie VanHouten of Six Lakes; Mr. and Mrs. Lorraine Houghton of 
Blanchard; Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Knapp, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Maynard, Mr. and 
Mrs. Guy McLeod, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Knapp and Miss Marie Royston of Lyons; and 
Seaman Eugene Henry of Great Lakes Naval Training center.
