He had been ill the past 18 months but had worked until October of last year. He was a veteran of World War II and Korean War serving 12 years. He served as special investigator for Overseas Intelligence and for the past eight years had worked as a customs agent for United States government in the narcotics division. He worked four year in England and two years each in Singapore and Hong Kong. The past two years he had resided in California. Mr. Huffman was born February 3, 1923 in Fowler, Colo., and was married to Helen Stevens at Santa Ana, Calif., February 14, 1944. Prior to his service, Mr. Huffman worked with Wallace Jackson at Boynton funeral home one year. He is survived by his wife, Helen; two daughters, Carol Anne 16, and Melanie 7; his father, Woodson D. Huffman of Mountain Home, Ark.; a brother, Kenneth R. Huffman in Turkey; and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Arnold of Olympia, Wash. The body will arrive in Ionia late Thursday evening and funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Boynton funeral home. Interment will be at Easton cemetery.
