Ionia Sentinel - 13 January 1964
Funeral Service for Melvin Huffman, 40, of Alhambra, Calif., former Ionia 
resident who died January 4, was conducted at Boynton funeral home January 
11.  Burial was at Easton cemetery. Bearers were John Roberts, Norman Kimble, 
Charles Edlin, John Stevens, Burdette Lampman and Carl Seabrook.

Attending from out of town were his wife, the former Helen Stevens of Ionia, 
and two daughters, Carol Anne and Melanie of Alhambra; his brother, Kenneth R. 
Huffman of California who just arrived from Turkey; Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Stevens 
and Mrs. And Mrs. John Stevens of Grand Ledge; Mr. and Mrs. William Pearson of 
East Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lueder of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Keith Howard and 
son, Jim of Greenville, Mr. Grace Edlin and Mrs. Irene Edlin of Belding; Mrs. 
Russell Sides of WEIDMAN, Mrs. Ronald Weide and Mrs. Edward Bolobliz of Remus, 
and Charles Hughs, representative of the Customs Agency in Detroit.
