The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Friday, March 22, 1912

Mrs. Ruth Hugg, of Portland is dead following a stroke of apoplexy.  Mrs. Hugg 
was a daughter of Thomas White and was born on the Levi Shotwell farm in 
1839.  One daughter, Mrs. Carrie Belen survives.
