Mrs. H.E. Spencer and Mrs. Eugene Smith sang. The bearers were Will Huggins, John Huggins, Geo. Wedge, and Fred Converse. Rev. R.B. Chapman officiated, and the remains were taken to the family lot at Palo for interment. Deceased was born in England, February 13, 1840. He married there and his three oldest children were born there. They came to the United states in 1872 and settled in Palo where Mr. Huggins carried on his trade as a brick mason. he afterwards was driver of the Palo stage and mail carrier between Ionia and Palo, as well as Shiloh and Palo. He was for years a bus driver in this city, and did not give up that work, until a short time ago, when his failing health made it impossible. Mrs. Huggins died in 1912, and the surviving children are Mrs. Geo. Wedge, Mrs. Fred Converse, Miss Maud Huggins, Wm. Huggins, of this city, and John Huggins of Rochester, N.Y., who is here for the funeral.
