Huhn 76, of Portland, died Wed., Aug. 21, 1996. He was born Nov. 4, 1919 in Eagle Twp., the son of Joseph and Clara (Fedewa) Huhn. He was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, a veteran of W.W. II serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a member of the Portland V.F.W., Post #4090. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; three daughters: Dolores Beard, Marilyn Seldon, and Mary (Roger) Miller, all of Portland; two sons: Douglas (Paulette) Huhn of Portland and Keith (Sandra) Huhn of Lyons; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Leonard (Rose Marie) Huhn of Portland; three sisters: Esther (Russell) Krieger of Ionia, Rosella Kransz of Portland, and Laurine (Larry) Hoffman of Portland. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-son: Thomas Banash; three brothers; and one sister. Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Rev. Julian Reginato, pastor, officiating. Rite of committal will follow in Portland Cemetery with the Military Graveside Service conducted by Portland V.F.W., Post #4090. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline-Runciman Co.
