The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, March 1, 1920


The body of Harley D. Hulce, who died at Jackson, at the age of 22 last week, 
arrived in Ionia Saturday and was taken to the Balcom cemetery, where Rev. 
Meader had the service.  The cause of death was chronic pulmonary tuberculosis, 
caused by being gassed three times on the battlefield.
