Russell Edward Hull, age 87, of Ionia passed away October 26, 2004 at 
Cumberland Manor in Lowell.  He was born October 12, 1917 in Gratiot County the 
son of William and Mary (Fisk) Hull.  Russell married Irma Evans December 27, 
1940 in Newport, Kentucky who preceded him in death in 1998.

He was a W.W.II Army Veteran.  A lifetime Veteran of Foreign War in Sheridan 
and a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Ionia.

He is survived by his sons Edward (Pam) Hull of Ionia, Douglas (Marlla) Hull of 
Zeeland; daughters, Sharon (Jerry) Hopkins of Belmont, Phyllis (Robert) Bender 
of Lowell, Susan (Kenneth) Davis of Ionia, Patricia Misner of Portland; sister 
Bernice Gilson of Carson City; twenty grandchildren, twenty-five great-
grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by 
six brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday at Church of the Nazarene in 
Ionia with Rev. Kirk Starkweather officiating.  Interment Balcom Cemetery.  The 
family will receive friends and family Thursday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. 
at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.  You may make memorial contributions in 
Russell’s name to Church of the Nazarene or Ionia Area Hospice.
