Jan. 19, 2016 DONALD H. HULL Donald H. Hull, age 86 of Fenwick, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Born Oct. 29, 1929, in Ionia. Don is the son of Frank and Florence Myrtle Hull. On Jan. 23, 1953, Don married the love of his life, Merelene Ann Nielsen of Ionia and they enjoyed 61 years together, until her passing on Oct. 31, 2014. In addition to his parents and wife, Don is also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angela Hull; sisters, Lorraine Hull and Dorothy Grigsby; and sister-in-law Ada Jean Lorentz. Don is survived by his three children, David (Monique) Hull of Canfield, Ohio, Bryan (Janet) Hull of Fenwick, Susan (Brian) Goutziers of Fenwick; grandchildren, Kevin Wadkins, Nathan Hull, Xander Hull, Zach Hull, Amy McMcMillian, Sara Barton, Christopher Mathewson, Jennifer Matherwson, Keisha Matherwson;a and great grandchildren, Kynsee, Ethan, Nolan, Reid, Brendan, Alyssa, Ryan, Drew, Grace, Hunter, Adrianna, Skyler, Alexis and Trey. Don graduated from Ionia Schools and went into the service where he served in the United States Army. He was a milk tester for years and then joined the Lindbaugh Family Farm before he branched out on his own with his wife and family to farm in the Fenwick area. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids;. He and his wife Merelene liked to go camping in their motorhome, he loved to hunt, teaching his grandkids various things and he loved his ponies. Visitation with Don's family will be on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, fro 4-7 p.m. at the Simpson Family Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Final interment will be next to his wife at the Orleans cemetery. The family has suggested memorial donations made in Don's memory, be made to St. Jude Children's research Hospital and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
