She was united in marriage Dec. 24, 1838 to Henry Hulliberger of Allen County, Ohio, who with six sons, Jacob, of Blanchard, Mich.; Samuel Lee, of Lima, Ohio; John, of Iowa; James, of Freeport, Mich.; and Wm. Henry and Benjamin, of this place (a daughter, Elizabeth having died when young) 25 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren and other relatives are left to mourn her departure. In 1866, she with her family came to Michigan settling in Campbell, which has since been their home, there to do their part in clearing up what was then a wilderness and making it the thriving community of today. It is with feelings of great respect and reverence that we witness the passing of these grandfathers and grandmothers – the busy workers of former days, who braved the dangers and privations of the wild forest and made our home the peaceful and prosperous commonwealth of today, feeling that to them we owe a great debt of gratitude. At an early age the deceased united with the German Baptist Brethren church of which she was a steadfast member until her death. During the past five years the deceased was a constant sufferer from paralysis which caused her death Friday, June 29 after kind and loving hands had done all in their power to relieve her. The funeral services were held at the Thornapple church, Sunday a.m. July 1, Rev. S. M. Smith officiating, after which the remains were followed to their final resting place in Campbell cemetery by a large concourse of sorrowing friends. After a period of 66 years of married life at the ripe age of 83 years, she passed to her beautiful home beyond there to await the coming of those left behind.
