She lived with her parents at Williamston and Lake Odessa and vicinity until last spring when she went with her mother to Lansing for medical treatments. She was a great sufferer for many weeks and frequently toward the last expressed a longing to be released and go to the better land where pain and suffering are no more. Though all was done that loving care and medical skill could supply the end came peacefully without a struggle at last. In her school life she was progressing finely, and just entering upon her high school years when the fatal illness took hold on her. She was a member of the Methodist Sunday School, and of the Standard Bearer society in which she took an active interest. She was sincere and thoughtful, and had many dear friends who valued her for her true worth. Besides the sad parents, she leaves five sisters, namely Mrs. Galia Wade of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Gladys Garrett of South Bend, Ind., Miss Goldie Hulliberger of Detroit and the Misses Pauline and Bernice of Lake Odessa; also the grandparents, Andrew A. Walters and Mary E. Walters, who together with other more distant relatives and friends mourn her early taking away.
