Alan B. Hulliberger, 71, of Belding, passed away Wednesday October 29, 2014 at 
Spectrum Health-Nursing and Rehab Center in Greenville.  Alan was born on May 
19, 1943 in Cedar Springs, the son of Forrest “Curly” and Jennie (Covey) 
Hulliberger- Goupell. 

Alan attended Belding Area Schools and was a proud Veteran serving two tours in 
the United States Navy.  He was a member of the Greenville Eagles Club Aerie 
4321.  He enjoyed doing yard work and telling many stores of his military 
days.  He had a good since of humor and will be greatly missed by his family 
and friends. 

He is loved and survived by his daughter; Lisa (Chris) Shirley of Norwalk, 
Ohio, his brother; James (Jeannette) Hulliberger of Belding, his step brother 
and sisters; William Goupell, Mae Holland, Wendy Haveman and Teresa Lyons, 
sister-in-laws; Dottie Hulliberger, Dorothy Hulliberger, Jean Brorby, Mary Coy 
and numerous nieces and nephews.  Alan was preceded by his parents, son; David, 
stepfather; William Goupell, brothers; Ken, Dave and Dan Hulliberger, 
William “Bill” Coy and a step sister and nephew; Paulette Goupell and David " 
Scotty"Goupell. 

In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place.  Memorial services will 
take place in the spring at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.  Memorials may 
be given to Spectrum Health Hospice or the Belding Freedom Wall.  Envelopes 
will be available at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding where funeral 
services have been entrusted.
