EDWARD W. HUMMEL
Funeral service for Edward W. Hummel, 80, who died Thursday at Ionia County Memorial
Hospital, was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Myers funeral home. Mr. Hummel had been
making his home with his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Faie Hummel of 251 Lafayette street.

The Rev. Richard Kidder, pastor of Lyons Methodist church conducted the services. 
Interment was in North Plains cemetery. Bearers were Arthur Cook, Fredrick Cook,
Carl Cook, Howard Sheaffer, Philip Sheaffer and Max Scheaffer.

Those attending the service from away were Mr.and Mrs. Cecil Packard and Judith and
Miss Mary Jo Robinson of Midland; Mrs. Charles Cook, Arthur, Carl and Fredrick Cook, Mr.
and Mrs. Emil Rhode of Weidman, Mr and Mrs Theodore Hummel of Shephard, Mrs. Thomas 
Latham of Remus, Mr and Mrs Ernest Hummel of Saginaw, Mr and Mrs Herman Leider of 
Bay City, Mrs Edwin Goodwin and Mr and Mrs Kenneth Goodwin of Jackson, Mrs. Letho 
Gage of Matherton, Mr and Mrs Howard Sheaffer, Mr and Mrs Philip Scheaffer of Muir,
Mrs Nina DeWitt and Maxine and Marshall St.Clair of Lyons.
