   HUMMEL, Mary (SHAW) 
Date: Sunday, 20 May 2001, at 6:47 a.m. 
   Services Held for Mrs. Mary Hummel:
   Mrs. Mary A. Shaw Hummel, 81, lifelong resident of the local area and native
of Odessa township, passed away early Monday morning at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Harold (Frances) Simmons, route 4, Ionia, after a long illness. 
   Mrs. Hummel was a member of the Lake Odessa Central Methodist church. 
   Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Clarence (Gladys) Richardson of Grand Ledge
and Mrs. Simmons of Ionia; a son William Shaw of Ionia; grandchildren; one great
grand child; two sisters, Mrs. Andres (Ruby) Geiser of Sheridan and Mrs. Harry
(Eva) of Fort Worth Texas. 
   Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel
with burial in Lakeside cemetery. 
   Her first husband, Glen Shaw, passed away March 9, 1929 and in June 1942 she
married John Hummel who passed away in 1946.
