The Ionia County News, Thursday, December 20, 1945
Funeral services were held Monday for Merle Hummell, 67, who died at his home 
Friday evening.  Surviving are three brothers, John and Fred of Lake Odessa, 
and James of Nashville; two sisters, Miss Anna Hummell and Mrs. Ella Cane of 
Lake Odessa.  Burial was in Lakeside cemetery.
