Saranac – Mrs. Barbara Jean Humphrey, 84, died at her home on Vosper street
January 2.  Mrs. Humphrey came to Saranac in 1930 with her husband, the late
Edward Humphrey, a retired minister.  He was pastor of the Congregational church
at Lake Odessa five years prior to his retirement in 1952.  Mrs. Humphrey was
born March 28, 1875 in Dresden, Ont.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Andres of Saranac, with whom she made
her home, and Mrs. Naomi Davis of Dundee; five grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at the Morris funeral home at 2 p.m.  The
Rev. Howard D. Bull will officiate and burial will be at Saranac cemetery.
