Deceased was for 28 years a successful business man of that city. He was born Feb. 4, 1845, in the township of Orange. He was married in 1863 to Miss Anna McQuillan, of Lyons, who survives him. Ten children were born of this union. He was an honorable and successful business man, and served two terms on the common council, as alderman from the First ward.
