Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 22 Jun 1957

Funeral services for George R. Humphrey, who died Tuesday morning, were
conducted at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic church Friday morning at 9 o’clock,
with the Rev. Henry J. Dondzila celebrating the Requiem High Mass.  Interment
was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.  Bearers were Duane Lemon, Roderich Bigelow, Gary
Hooper, William, Dale and Thomas Humphrey.

He was married in May of 1891 to Jane O’Callaghan and she died in March of 1951.

Out of town relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. George Kechmer, Mrs. Gerald
Parrish, Mrs. Roy Webb and Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Bigelow of Flint, Mr. and Mrs. J.R.
Bigelow, Nancy, Billy and James of Flushing, Mrs. James Shaughnessy and
daughter, Susie of Livonia, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene K. Lemon and son of Dearborn,
Francis J. Humphrey of Washington D.C., Mr. and Mrs. James Hooper of Lansing,
Mr. and Mrs. Mel Bolen of Detroit, Mr. and Mrs. Edward P. Bolen and daughter,
Rose Mary of Grosse Pointe Woods, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Short, Mrs. Ted Sloma,
Mrs. Russell F. Hooper, Mrs. Lewis Hooper and Mrs. Anna VanOeveren, Mrs. Edwin
G. Jackson and Robert E. Bolen of Grand Rapids.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Humphrey, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Humphrey, Louis Humphrey Jr.,
Richard and Joseph Humphrey, Miss Margaret Humphrey, Russel Humphrey, Miss
Carrie Elliott, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lemon, Duane and Ronald Lemon and Mr. and
Mrs. John E. Steinhelper all of Pontiac.
