Humphreys, 79, wife of George Humphreys, died at her home at 328 Center street Sunday at 3:50 a.m. after being critically ill for two weeks. She was born in Scranton, Pa., June 27, 1871, daughter of Timothy and Bedelia O'Callahan. She was married to George Humphreys May 16, 1892, in Big Rapids and lived her entire married life in Ionia except for ten years, from 1924 to 1934, in Pontiac. Mrs. Humphreys was a member of SS. Peter and Paul church and a charter member of the Daughter of Isabella. Surviving are the husband: six daughters, Mrs. James Bigelow and Mrs. George Kachmer of Flint, Mrs. Charles Lemon and Mrs. John Steinhelper of Pontiac and Mrs. Hazel Burgess and Mrs. Glenn Hooper of Ionia: four sons, Francis and George, jr., of Ionia and Louis and Russell of Pontiac: 29 grandchildren: six great-grandchildren: and one sister, Mrs. George Geisel, of Alma. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Wednesday at SS. Peter and Paul church by the Rev. Fr. John S. Fons. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery, Rosary will be said at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Boynton funeral home. Additional Comments: Age: 79 Service: Wednesday, 7 March 1951 Mt.
