The body was to arrive in Ionia Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Humphrey was the son of the late Mr.and Mrs. Frances Humphrey, pioneers of this section, who came from Boston, Mass., to settle in the territory of Michigan. he was born in Orange township and had lived practically all of his life in Ionia until eight years ago when he went to Detroit and engaged in the rooming house business. So successful was he that only a few months ago he purchased another rooming house. While in Ionia he was engaged as a teamster. Surviving are the widow and a twin sister, Mrs. Susan Caine, of Millington. Among the relatives in Ionia are T. F. Kilmartin, a nephew; Bernie Humphreys, Miss Maude Humphreys, Mrs. Nellie McKee, and Mrs. Gara Caine-Briggs. Additional Comments: Age: 84 Highland Park cemetery #11-175 b. 13 Feb. 1847 - Berlin Twp.
