Sentinel-Standard - Saturday, June 26, 1954

Bernard O. Humphreys, 79, of 306 West Washington street died Friday afternoon 
at 4 o'clock at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient 
for the last week.

He was born September 9, 1874 in Ionia and had lived here all his life. He was 
a rural mail carrier for the local post office for 33 years and was retired 
fourteen years ago and since that time has been employed by Coe Auto Sales in 
Various capacities.

Surviving are two brothers, Thomas of Ionia and Leo of Los Angeles; three 
sisters; Mrs. James Roach of Los Angeles, Mrs. Anna Stephens of Grand Rapids 
and Mrs. Nellie McKee of Ionia; and one grandchild. 

Rosary will be recited Sunday afternoon t 2 o'clock at Myers funeral home.

Prayers will be said at the funeral home Monday morning at 8:30 followed by a 
Requiem High Mass at 9 o'clock at SS. Peter and Paul church.

Interment will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
