Hunt, of Pewamo, died at his home on April 30, aged 70 years. He was born in Erie county, New York, on May 10, 1831, and came to Michigan in 1834. In 1854 he was married to Prudence Ealy, who died in 1861. To this union one child was born, Mrs. Sarah J. Ludwick, who died some two years ago. On February 28, 1862, deceased was married to Mrs. Eliza A. Bissell, who survives him. He became a member of the Baptist Church in 1870 and ever after was an active worker in its behalf. Mr. Hunt was the owner of 130 acres just west of Pewamo, where he made his home until 1873, when he moved to town. The farm was sold a few weeks since to Wm .C. Blackmer. The funeral was held at the Baptist church, Pewamo, Thursday, being conducted by Rev. Waters, of Mt. Morris. Interment in West side cemetery.
