Mrs. Effie Hunt died last night at 12 o’clock of consumption, aged 28 years
lacking one day.  She was the wife of Carl Hunt and daughter of Isaac I. Barker,
and was married to Mr. Hunt about seven years ago in this city, who she leaves
to mourn her loss, besides a daughter two years old.  The deceased was born in
Rockford, was a bright lovely girl in childhood and grew up to be a woman of
high christian character, having many friends wherever known.  Since the birth
of her daughter her health has gradually failed, while the little one she so
dearly loved and so tenderly nursed is bright, cheerful and healthy.  The
funeral services will be held at the M.E. church Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock.
