The Belding Banner-News, Wednesday, December 31, 1924


C. J. Hunt, of Clarksville, a former resident of Belding, dropped dead Friday 
morning.  Mr. Hunt was a rural mail carrier and started out on his route all 
right.  The roads were badly drifted and his car became stalled in one of the 
drifts.  When he was shoveling the car out it is thought the over exertion 
caused a strain on his heart and as his heart was weak it could not stand it.  
His local friends were very much surprised and grieved at the news of his death.
