The Lake Odessa Wave, Thursday, March 30, 1939
Mrs. Nettie Hunt, mother of Verne Hunt of this place, passed away at the home 
of her daughter Mrs. Irene Floyd, at Benton Harbor, March 17, being nearly 63 
years old.  She had recently spent a week and a half with her son here and he 
had taken her home where she was living with her daughter only a short time 
before her death.  She had been in poor health for a long time.

The funeral was held in Benton Harbor and the body was brought to Lake Odessa 
for burial at Lakeside on March 21.  

Besides her children named above she leaves a son Glenn of Milwaukee, Wis., a 
son Roy in Illinois, a son Edward at Camp Custer, (a son and daughter died in 
infancy), and two sisters Mrs. George Robinson of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Carrie 
Green of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Wreatha Johnson is a niece.
