Clemens, Sept. 27, after a short illness. He was born in Keene township, July 27, 1848, and lived there until about 25 years ago. He was the last of a family of seven children of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hunter. His widow survives. An adopted son was killed in the World War. The funeral was held at the home Sunday morning at ten o’clock. The pastor of the M. E. church officiated there and Rev. W. L. Halladay, a former Saranac pastor, officiated at the Saranac cemetery at 4:15. Mr. Hunter’s nephews, Vine Hunter of Lowell; Jesse, L. G., and Harley Hunter and Ray Hoskins of Saranac were pall bearers. Mrs. Carrie Densmore went to Mt. Clemens Thursday and remained until after the funeral. Mr. Densmore had charge of the funeral.
