The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, May 14, 1975

Howard Hunter, 83, of route 1, Saranac, died early Wednesday morning at his 
home.  Born February 8, 1892, in Odessa township, he was the son of Mr. and 
Mrs. Cass Hunter and a lifetime farmer.  February 8, 1930 he was married in 
Saranac to Pauline Adgate and lived all his married life in the Saranac area.  
He was a veteran of World War I and member of the Saranac American Legion post.

Surviving are the wife, Pauline; son, Gordon Hunter of Saranac; and four 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Roetman funeral home at Saranac.  
Interment will be at Balcom cemetery.
