Hunter was killed outright but Greenfield, who was taken to the Lowell hospital, was found to be but slightly injured. Deputy Sheriff Leo Geller of Ionia, who was sent out to investigate the accident, was told by a Grand Rapids resident who was following the car driven by Hunter on M-21, that while he wanted to pass hunter, he was unable to do so because for some reason or other the hunter car kept swerving from one side of the highway to the other and he could not get by. Coroner Bruce G. Fales of this city was called to the scene of the accident in his official capacity. Hunter was a brother of Harley Hunter, of Keene township, and also of Vine Hunter of Lowell.
