Mrs. Mary K. (Gerkey) Hunter, 81, wife of the late John Hunter, Spanish American
War Veteran who died in 1918, died Friday morning at Michigan Veterans’ Facility
hospital in Grand Rapids.  She was a former resident of Lake Odessa and had
lived at the Veteran’s facility three years.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mina Brooks of Lake Odessa and Palmetto,
Fla., and Mrs. Charles Ash of Lima, Ohio; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted at Pickens funeral chapel Monday at 1:30 with
burial at Lakeside cemetery.
