Last Wednesday at about noon Henry Hunter one of the few surviving members of the Lake Odessa Grand Army of the Republic bade farewell to this life and was ushered into the life eternal that had long been his desire to talk about. Mr. Hunter was 77 years of age and for twenty years has lived in Lake Odessa, coming here from Sunfield township. He has long been energetic faithful worker about the town being a painter and finisher and his work was always well done. No one ever found any fault with his work, but always praised it. He seemed never to loose an opportunity to speak a word for his loving Savior whom he loved with all his being as he often said. Those who attended prayer meeting will miss his testimony which was itself strength to the weaker ones. As long as hie strength permitted he was at his place in church services.
