The Ionia County News, Thursday, May 16, 1935
Mrs. Vern Hunter died at her home in Berlin township at 12:10 Wednesday 
morning, May 15.  She was 52 years of age.  

Deceased, whose maiden name was Cora Hoover, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
Levi Hoover of Odessa township.  She as 52 years old and had spent most of her 
life in Odessa and Berlin townships.  Besides her husband, Mrs. Hunter leaves 
a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Wallace of Saulte Ste. Marie; two sisters, Mrs. L. A. 
Abbey, Hastings, and Mrs. John Thomas, Lansing, and a brother, Wilfred Hoover, 
of Charlotte.  

The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at two o’clock at the United 
Brethren church, Lake Odessa.  Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.
