                         Alice Rae Hunter

Alice Rae Hunter, 90, of Ionia passed away June 4, 2010, in Wyoming. She was 
born Nov. 23, 1919, in Belding the daughter of Roy and Nora (Andrews) Haines. 
Alice married Jack Hunter April 26, 1940, in Indiana.He preceded her in death 
March 19, 2004.

She attended Lowell high School. Alice worked at the Vogue Shop in ionia for 30 
plus years. She loved to read, do needlework, walk with her best friend Ethelyn 
Pung and just wanted to be in the outdoors.

Alice is survived by her daughter Jacalyn (David) Gilliand of Ionia; 
grandchildren, James (Fay) Gilliand of Florida, Daniel (Jayne) Gilliand of Grand 
Rapids, Gregg (Elaine) Gilliand of Ionia and Sandra (Aric) Pitchford of Ionia, 
six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Betty Cowrin.

Cremation has taken place and at her request there will be no services. 
Arrangements by Lake funeral Home in Ionia. Anyone wishing may make memorial 
contributions in her name to Hall-Fowler Memorial Library. Online condolences
