The Lowell Journal, Friday, April 2, 1886
Wm. G. Hunter was born April 20, 1811 in Orange Co., N.Y.  Died at the ripe 
age of 74 years, 11 months and 5 days.  When a small boy he came to Oakland 
county, Mich.  In 1852 he came to this part of Michigan and settled on his 
farm about 4½ miles east of this village, where he died.  He leaves two sons 
and one daughter.  He died very suddenly with disease of the heart.  His 
funeral was held last Sunday at the house, Rev. J. W. Davids officiating.  A 
large number of friends were present, extending their kindness, sympathy and 
cheer.
