The Lowell Ledger, Thursday, June 2, 1904


Mrs. Frances M. Hunter of Keene, aged 67, died May 27, of gastric catarrh.  
Burial was made May 29, in the White cemetery, services being conducted by 
Rev. G. L. Sprague.

Frances M. Burleigh was born at Richford, N.Y. Sept. 5, 1836, came to Michigan 
about 1857, and Feb. 2, 1870 was married to Alford J. Hunter of Keene.  Two 
children were born to them: Ella B. and John L. both of Keene.  Mrs. Hunter 
had two children by a former marriage, Mrs. Lepper and Charles Slater.  
Besides them she leaves six step-children and many other relatives and friends 
to mourn her loss.
