Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2 Nov 1960

Mrs. Edith Hunter, 81, of 1123 5th avenue, Lake Odessa, died Monday at 10 a.m. 
at Gladwin nursing home where she had been a patient the last three weeks.

Born in Girard, Mrs. Hunter moved to Sunfield as a young girl with her parents, 
Eugene and Cynthia Van Blarcom, and spent most of her life in Sunfield area 
before moving to Lake Odessa six years ago.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Semrau of Nashville and Esther Hunter of 
Lake Odessa; two sons, Merril of Midland and Harold of Pleasant Ridge; two 
brothers, Charles Van Blarcom of Harrison and Claud of rural Vermontville and 
several grandchildren.

The body reposes at Mapes funeral home in Sunfield where service will be held 
Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock with the Rev. Howard Bull officiating.   
Interment will be at Sunfield cemetery.
