Born May 4,1930 & raised in Ionia. Graduated from Michigan State University in 1951. Taught Kindergarten for 2 years in Grand Rapids Schools. In 1953, she married David Dyer Hunting Jr., whom died in 2007. Marilyn was dedicated to her philanthropic work, serving on boards of the Advisory Center for teens(now Arbor Circle), Camp Newaygo, Ladies Literary Club, United Way and Grand Rapids Symphony. Membership in Junior League and Grace Episcopal Church Guild, chairman of United Way women's fundraising and of the brace shop at Mary Free Bed. Loved a good game of bridge and spending evenings with friends of all ages. Survived by daughters, Catherine Hunting Osborne (James) of Winnetka IL., and Mary Anne Hunting (Thomas Remien) of New York City, five grandchildren, Matthew, Kate, Thomas Henry and Mary.
