Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 24 Apr 1950

Mrs. Blanche Powers Huntley, 82, of Saranac died Sunday, April 23, at the home
of a niece, Mrs. [Unreadable] Ulp, and Mr. Ulp in Rochester, N.Y.  Mrs. Huntley
spent her summers in Saranac and her winters with her niece in Rochester.

She was born in Saranac in 1867 the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. H.H. Powers, of
Saranac.  She was a registered nurse.  She married August Huntley and was
co-owner of the Huntley Drug Store for several years.  Her sole survivors are
Mrs. Ulp and family.

The body will arrive at Grand Rapids Wednesday.  Services will be conducted
Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Morris funeral home with the Rev. Glenn McCarty
officiating.  Interment will be in Saranac cemetery.
