Steven D. Hurl, 62, of Portland, passed away on April 13, 2009.  He was born 
Aug. 5, 1946 in Lansing the son of Floyd and Hertha (Holmes) Hurl.  Steve 
loved boating and was a NASCAR fan.  He enjoyed serving as the assistant coach 
for the Portland High School Girls Bowling Team. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.  Surviving are his wife of 30 years, 
Kathy (Moses); daughters, Tycee Hurl, Tish (David) Torok and Brandy Hurl; 
grandchildren, Jordee, Steven, Courtney and Conner; mother and father-in-law, 
Pat (Paul) Winegar; brother-in-law, Jim (Mirla) Moses; sister-in-law Margaret 
(Tony) Droste; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Larry King, Pastor, on April 17 at 
the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland.  Interment followed at Portland 
Cemetery.
