Ford was born in Jefferson county, New York, November 8, 1838, and died January 10, 1907, aged 68 years, 2 months and 2 days. She moved with her parents to Michigan when about 11 years of age and settled near Lowell, Kent county, where she lived thirteen years. She was united in marriage to Wm. Huston July 23, 1863, at Lowell. They lived in Lyons about 41 years. Six children were born to them, four of whom have preceded her to the other shore. She is survived by her husband, a brother and two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Gates of Sheridan, and Vernie Huston who remained at home and gave her constant care and attention to the last. About 37 years ago she experienced a change of heart and gave up all for her Savior. There being no church of her choice in Lyons, she did not unite with any, but cheerfully walked in the light. She was a dutiful wife, a loving mother and a kind neighbor. The funeral was held Monday from the home of H.C. Hammon, Rev. H.E. Wylie officiating. The music was furnished by Mrs. Coon and Mrs. Baker and Messrs. Balch and Hale. The pall-bearers were Daniel Curtis, Theo. King, F.T. Gleason and J.P. Brown.
