She had been in very good health recently, and had been visiting in Battle Creek since the holidays. Hannah J. Peck was born in Madison, Indiana, Feb. 24, 1822, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stepoen? Peck. Her father removed to Bedford, Ohio, in 1840, where the family resided for many years. She was married to Dr. B.M. Hutchinson May 20, 1848. They resided in Bedford and Cleveland until 1867, when they came to Lyons, which has been her home since. Dr. Hutchinson died at Lyons Dec 13, 1900. There were born to her six children, three of whom survive. She was a woman of marked intellectual power, was well educated and until the end of her life was remarkable for her physical vigor. She was a devoted wife, and a kind and loving mother. The last years of her life were passed at the home of her grandchildren, Hubert Isham and wife, to whose kind attentive care nothing could be added to render her last days more happy or cheerful. The funeral was held Sunday from the home of her daughter in Battle Creek. The body was brought to Lyons Tuesday for burial in the family lot.
