The Ionia Daily Standard, Monday, January 18, 1909

The funeral service for Charles W. Hutchins, at the home, on Harter street, 
Sunday afternoon, was largely attended by old-time friends and neighbors.  The 
service was by Dr. Lewis, pastor of the Methodist church, and the singing by 
Mrs. Thane Benedict and Mrs. Wm. Todd.  The bearers were: Dr. J. M. Hathaway, 
Geo. A. Snell, Geo. K. Jackson and J. I. Birdsall.  Mr. and Mrs. Byron 
Hutchins, daughter and son, and Mr. and Mrs. Holbrook of Grand Rapids were 
here to attend the service.  Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery.
