Mark L. Marshall, of Lansing, will conduct the funeral service for Thurman Hutchins from the late home on North Rich street, Sunday afternoon at three o'clock. The service will be for relatives and near friends. Burial will take place in the family lot at Highland Park cemetery. SENTINEL-STANDARD - MONDAY, SEPT. 15, 1924 SERVICES FOR BUSINESSMAN HELD SUNDAY Life-Long Resident of City, Prominent in Business and Social Circles The funeral services for Thurman Hutchins were held from the home on Rich street Sunday afternoon. Rev. M.L. Marshall of Lansing, officiated. Mr. Hutchins had been a resident of Ionia all his life, and while only 35 business and social circles, and had won friends and acquaintances which would have been noteworthy to one of longer years in the round of activities. The bearers were M.D. Wilson, Dr. F.M. Marsh, William J. Winchell, G.L. Yates, W.Y. Templeton and Fred M. Kidd. G. L. Yates and Mrs. Myrtelle Peck furnished the music. Mrs. Paul Stamsen, Mrs. W.Y. Templeton, Mrs. G.L. Yates, Mrs. M. Dee Wilson, Mrs. F.M. Kidd, Mrs. Richard Benedict and Mrs. Dewey Hammond took charge of the beautiful and massive amounts of flowers, which were about the casket and rooms. Interment was made in highland Park cemetery. Out-of-town relatives attending the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Hutchins, Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Dodge, and Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Springsted, from Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hall and Mr. and Mrs. William Quick, of Belding; Mr. and Mrs. F. Smith of Plymouth; Mr. and Mrs. M.S. C. Whitbeck of Montague; Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Hammond, of Charlotte, and Emma Yerex, of Ann Arbor.
