Daily Sentinel - Monday, Oct. 13, 1913

The funeral for the late General F.S. Hutchinson, 74 years of age, took place 
this afternoon at the Soldiers' home in Grand Rapids at two o'clock. It was a 
full military funeral with bearers being all members of the home, and all the 
soldiers at the home turned out in a body, being headed by the military band. 
Quite a number of the veterans from the Ionia G.A.R. attended.

Herbert and Albert Hutchinson tend the funeral for their father, went to Grand 
Rapids at noon to at- General F.S. Hutchinson.

J.C. Taylor, Ed. Shattuck, J.L. Fowie, T.G. Stevenson, Jas. Laden, Jas. 
Greenman, A.E. Tower, Robert Carpenter, C.C. Elyster, W.A. Wood, George Rector 
and Fred Kidd went to Grand Rapids at noon to attend the funeral for Gen F.S. 
Hutchinson.
